As an Auction Support Specialist, your role will be to assist the growing auction team by wearing a number of hats. You will assist with listing and tagging equipment, clerking the actual auction whether in person or online, and travel to customers' facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Catalog equipment for sale in all auctions by creating detailed write-ups, descriptions, and photos
- Dedicated to learning and understanding the auction industry, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal departments and equipment owners to gather information and documentation
- Perform lot building, setting auction parameters, and managing the bidding processes through auction software
- Provide professional customer service and support to bidders, as needed
- Describe and photograph the auction listings in a way that encourages bidding and to best represent the equipment
- Responsible for meeting operational deadlines for finalizing auction listings and catalogs
- Assists in the preparation of and timing for marketing materials for upcoming auctions
- Willing and able to travel for SIGMA Auction to catalog lots and coordinate with rigging companies
- Meet the operational standards of the SIGMA Auction Showroom
- Proficient computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly motivated
- Professional delivery of messaging via phone and email
- Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or a related field strongly preferred; at a minimum must possess a high school diploma
- Must be experienced researching items on the internet.
- Experience with optimizing images for web use with tools such as Corel or Photoshop is a plus
- Up to 60-70% travel
- The employee may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 10 to 20 pounds.
- The employee is required to practice, recognize, and interpret safety precautions and follow safety rules and OSHA requirements as they relate to the job.
