What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate, Surplus position at SIGMA Group?
Work with Surplus Team to receive, sort, stage, photograph, document and skid all inbound components within the SIGMA Surplus Warehouse. This role is responsible for the safe movement of all components and filling out associated paperwork from inbound trucks through the warehouse process of cataloging, storing, and photographing the parts to their appropriate inventory or temporary storage location.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive and inventory Surplus components when they arrive. Maintain an organized area and assist Purchasing in cataloging inbound products from suppliers
- Managing daily work requirements of the assigned team to ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly work goals are obtained
- Assist with picking, packing and shipping when necessary to complete daily outbound shipments and order picking
- Following proper triage methods for all inbound items into Sigma Surplus
- Operate a forklift in order to assist in moving or consolidating product from inbound to designated areas
- Assist assigned documentation team to meet bi-weekly production goals
- Assist in training new team members in the proper cleaning, documentation, skidding, and transporting of components
- Recording items received, documented, and/or distributed within Surplus via appropriate Surplus inventory control program
- Photograph large items in designated area. Upload photos into the proper system. Label items and put them away into inventory storage
- Assembling custom skids as needed for customer orders
- Preparing parcels for shipping by expediting company (i.e. - FedEx or UPS)
- Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings.
- Ability to operate hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Computer proficiency and an ability to use camera and computer for editing photographs
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, attention to detail and working in a team environment
- High school diploma is required; some college preferred
- Must be comfortable operating lift and working at heights
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
