Duties of an exceptional therapist include :
- Help residents who have recently experienced a major injury, surgery, or decline in function to regain their functionality
- Evaluate resident’s conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
- Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
- Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
- Plan for discharge as a patients achieve their goals and restore their capability
- Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort
PT Requirements Include :
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Current New York State Physical Therapist (PT
License
