Position Summary : The Technician Maintenance General is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components. This role involves evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield.
Essential Job Functions :
- Preventive Maintenance and Repairs (10%) : Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems.
- Adjustments and Replacements (10%) : Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems.
- Inspections (10%) : Inspect maintenance systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Troubleshooting (10%) : Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
- Repairs (10%) : Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Technical Reporting (10%) : Prepare technical reports to document preventive maintenance issues.
- Failure Analysis (10%) : Perform equipment failure analyses, including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
- Inventory Management (10%) : Maintain and secure a spare parts inventory, recommend purchasing maintenance equipment and supplies to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Equipment Improvement (5%) : Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, capability, and yield.
- System Testing (5%) : Observe and test system operation using gauges and instruments.
- Assistance (5%) : Assist higher-level technicians as needed.
- Other Duties (5%) : Perform other duties as assigned.
