POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as a lead in managing daily operations in production, sanitation, warehouse, or security.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee daily activities in operations and staff including but not limited to training, evaluation, development, and coaching employees
- Schedule employees and informs the leadership team of any employee absences during the shift
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document issues; communicate to leadership team
- Monitor safety practices and eliminate hazard
- Clean and inspect assigned areas to pass QA and USDA inspection
- Assist employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to department processes, procedures and services
Production
Perform job tasks/functions as above and/or not limited to:
- Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies.
- Notifies supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or problems; address safety-related concerns to responsible personnel(s).
- Evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards.
Sanitation
Perform job tasks/functions as above and/or not limited to:
- Tear down and use hazardous chemicals to clean and/or sanitize equipment.
- Perform equipment and tool inspections; reassemble equipment.
- Monitor chemical usage; ensure chemicals are mixed and used in according to label requirements.
- Ensure food safety through HACCP, allergen risk management and prevention of contamination.
- Perform sanitary equipment maintenance as per the preventative maintenance schedule; coordinates with Quality Assurance department on Pre-Operation Inspections.
- Restock and replenish supplies; maintain sanitation logs.
- Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, including but not limited to wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); report any potential food safety issues to management.
- Tear down and use hazardous chemicals to clean and/or sanitize equipment.
Laundry
Perform job tasks/functions as above and/or not limited to:
- Maintain accurate records of items laundered; verify that laundry requests are completed for each department.
- Perform all stages of linen processing including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading, ironing, folding, storing and delivering and cleaning laundry equipment and the laundry area, as needed.
- Monitor linen quality, inventory, stain percentage, damaged linen and production reports to ensure reordering, rewashing and repairs in a timely manner.
Warehouse
- method; receive and inspects goods and verifying items against the shipment record; recording received and shipped items.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage and/or to other designated areas.
- Monitor warehouse systems to ensure correct receiving of goods and on time delivery to store; carry out various quality checks in the distribution center and by creating and reviewing reports
Security
- Ensure proper plans are in place for all safety and security protocols.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and parking lot.
- Patrol buildings and grounds of work site.
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Watch and report conditions that could result in injury including but not limited to loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, and faulty equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years’ experience at location or related team lead experience
- Cross-trained in one or more department
- HACCP trained
- Shift: 2nd shift 3pm- midnight (may require overtime)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA’s)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- Possess strong personal and professional skills
- Completion of Food Safety, AMI Short Course and Leadership Training
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35- and 95-degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. - Pay is $20.21 - $20.99 shift differential included. Plus $1.00 an hour- tied to attendance.
