POSITION SUMMARY
To assist the Supervisor in leading the warehouse teams in the Shipping and Receiving departments of unloading and shipping out trucks. Help organize and delegate the workflow to keep the process moving while staying within the specific guidelines of the companies policies. Keep the materials feed to the production lines while using first in first out methods, work closely with SAP, QA, and the production departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee daily activities in operations and staff including but not limited to training, evaluation, development, and coaching employees
- Schedule employees and informs the leadership team of any employee absences during the shift
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document issues; communicate to leadership team
- Monitor safety practices and eliminate hazards
- Clean and inspect assigned areas to pass QA and USDA inspection
- Assist employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to department processes, procedures and services
- Receive and inspects goods and verifying items against the shipment record; recording received and shipped items.
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage and/or to other designated areas.
- Monitor warehouse systems to ensure correct receiving of goods and on time delivery to store; carry out various quality checks in the distribution center and by creating and reviewing reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years’ experience at location or related team lead experience
- Cross-trained in one or more department
- HACCP trained
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pallet jack and forklift certification
- Flexible availability
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
