Sigmatech is seeking highly motivated space operators to accomplish mission planning tasks for the First Space Operations Squadron at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. In this tactical level space operations position, contractors will be responsible for the following activities:
- Developing, coordinating, and maintaining tactical and campaign-level briefing material for "go/no-go" senior leader operational decision making
- Draft and maintain mission planning procedures
- Update and maintain the squadron's mission planning database
- Coordinate with Space Delta 9's 9th Combat Training Squadron (9 CTS) to integrate processes and procedures into operational instruction
- Coordinating with squadron Weapons and Tactics flight to develop and track mission "lessons learned"
- Assist 9 CTS in the integration of lessons learned into operational instruction
- Assist 9 CTS in the development of Critical Information Files
- Manage and facilitate the post-mission and post-shift debrief programs to include generating, maintaining, and updating training products
Desired 8 years working space operations. 3 years specific to orbital warfare specific missions. B.S. in related field. Additional education and/or certifications in lieu of experience will be coinsidered.
Ability to effectively communicate (writing/speaking) complex space operations both at the tactical level and to senior DoD leaders
Additional Skills/Experience
Formal Orbital Analyst Training. Satellite Tool Kit, FreeFlyer, Microsoft Suite (to include Excel and Access).
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
