What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) position at Sigmatech, Inc.?
The Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) is responsible for assisting with continuous evaluation of all Sigmatech Inc. security procedures in accordance with organizational objectives, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements while ensuring compliance in day-to-day operations. The position requires working knowledge and experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to ensure understanding of requirements for security related processes and procedures including Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Security Reviews, Security Clearances, Security Training and Briefings, and other security related controls as needed.
Overview:
* Provide physical and operational security support for multiple local office locations and secure facilities, to include Access Control System (ACS) administration and monitoring, alarm response (both duty hours and after hours as needed), and daily security operations.
* Process facility access control measures and assist with visitor logistics and vetting personnel clearances in the system of record.
- Creating and managing access badges and alarm entry codes for large groups.
* Data entry and management of employee's personnel security in processing, out processing, visit access requests (VAR), and foreign travel using Security Information Management System (SIMS).
* Oversee initial and annual security awareness training requirements, brief incoming staff on security processes, and debrief outgoing staff.
* Assist the FSO with maintenance of security documentation and files for multiple local and remote locations.
* Attend and participate in security related meetings with government personnel, as needed.
* Provide administrative support for personnel security clearances requirements and coordination using various government and security vetting systems to include Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT).
- Communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with both government and industry audiences.
- Must be focused and have high attention to detail.
At least one year experience in related security management.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Minimum-Able to obtain a Security clearance up to TS with SCI eligibility.
Preferred- Current Secret clearance.
Education: High School Diploma, associate degree or higher preferred
