We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AcquisitionSupport Specialist in Arlington, VA to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play acritical part in supporting the acquisition lifecycle for a variety of programs .
Acquisition Strategy andDocumentation :
Provide expert guidance and support to programmanagers throughout the acquisition lifecycle, with a focus on developingcompliant and strategically aligned acquisition documentation for all programphases, ensuring consideration of international partner requirements andFMS / exportability considerations.
Serve as the DASA DEC rep for acquisitiondecision events, including Acquisition Shaping Panels (ASPs), ConfigurationSteering Boards (CSBs), Annual Program Reviews (APRs) and Milestone Decisions ensuringalignment with DoD and Army policy and best practices, specificallyaddressing foreign partnership opportunities and exportability requirements.
Support the development, staffing, and approvalof key acquisition documents, such as Acquisition Strategies, AcquisitionPlans, and Acquisition Program Baselines, incorporating foreign partnerinterests and FMS / exportability strategies.
Policy, Reporting, andMilestone Reviews :
Support the DASM ASARC and Acquisition Reportingteams by providing DASA DEC expertise and policy interpretation for ACAT programsand other reporting requirements, including reporting on foreignpartnership engagements and FMS activities.
Analyze and interpret Congressional, OSD, andArmy Acquisition Reform efforts, as well as relevant international agreementsand policies, to inform policy development and reporting procedures related toDASA DEC areas of responsibility, with a focus on internationalcooperation and exportability.
Execute comprehensive reviews of key acquisitionmilestones, including Materiel Development Decisions (MDD), Milestone A,Milestone B, Milestone C, and FRP, ensuring alignment with DASA DEC policiesand procedures and assessing impacts on foreign partners and FMSpotential.
Conduct thorough reviews of Defense BusinessSystems (DBS) documents, including Authority to Proceed (ATP) for Acquisition,Solution Analysis, Functional Requirements, Limited Deployment, and FullDeployment, evaluating alignment with international agreements andexportability regulations.
Work with the DASM and ASA(ALT) stakeholders onAcquisition Decision Memorandums (ADMs) when applicable to clearlyarticulate any foreign partnership implications and FMS considerations.
Collaboration andSupport :
Liaison and provide comprehensive support toacquisition shaping events and collaborate closely with the DASM's ASARC andAcquisition Reporting teams.
Provide critical focus on integrating foreignpartner requirements, foreign military sales considerations, and exportabilityinto all acquisition planning and execution activities.
Collaborate with program managers and productmanagers to proactively address exportability considerations, providingguidance and support to ensure they are prepared for exportability reviewsduring formal briefings to the AOIPT, ASPs, CSBs, and ASARC, emphasizing theimportance of early exportability planning.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field(Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred).
Proven experience (5-10 years) in acquisitionsupport, preferably within a DoD environment.
Strong understanding of the DoD acquisitionlifecycle and relevant Army regulations and policies.
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information tovarious audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of ateam, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines in afast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
