Functional role: Core Banking Implementation Specialist - 1
Overview of project/skills required:client is seeking a Core Banking Implementation and Compliance Specialist to support the successful deployment and operational integration of our core banking platform. This role will focus on identifying and documenting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing controls such as segregation of duties. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, risk, compliance, and audit teams, ensuring alignment across functions while supporting code, release, and change management processes.
* Note, this is not a Compliance person. This needs to be a technologist familiar with Core Banking platforms even though they are not 'coding'. This platform is - FIS - Miser.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and document policies and procedures for core banking operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, risk, compliance, and audit teams to address requirements and ensure alignment.
Design and enforce controls, including segregation of duties, to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
Provide expertise in configuring platform workflows to align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Support code, release, and change management processes, ensuring adherence to governance standards.
Conduct thorough documentation and review of roles and responsibilities, policies, and procedures.
Identify and address implementation challenges, ensuring seamless platform integration.
Conduct compliance assessments and support audit processes related to core banking operations.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience with core banking platforms (e.g., FIS Miser) or similar systems.
Strong understanding of core banking operations, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to document and maintain detailed operational policies, roles, and responsibilities.
Experience in banking technology implementations, process improvement, and change management.
Proficiency in collaborating across business, risk, compliance, and audit functions.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
