Manufacturing Facility Head

Sigmaways Inc is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to lead our manufacturing operations team and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role:

• As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the Maintenance Department and developing maintenance strategies that align with business objectives.
• You will work closely with the Plant Leadership Team to ensure plant efficiency and optimize equipment performance.
• Your expertise in SAP for maintenance planning and asset management will be valuable in reducing downtime and improving productivity.
• You will also be responsible for managing the plant maintenance budget, controlling costs, and ensuring that capital assets are properly maintained.
• With your strong understanding of mechanical systems and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, you will play a key role in driving productivity improvements and implementing process optimizations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the Maintenance Department for efficient operations.
• Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx) programs, including budget planning and monthly reviews.
• Oversee plant energy programs to optimize efficiency and sustainability.
• Control and monitor the plant maintenance budget, providing regular financial updates.
• Maintain and track capital assets to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
• Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Drive productivity improvements through process optimization and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team to align maintenance strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing/project engineering, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with SAP for maintenance planning and asset management.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their applications in manufacturing environments.
• In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Proven ability to manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and resource allocation.
• Minimal travel required.
• Work environment includes exposure to heat, cold, high noise levels, moving machinery, heights, dust, fumes, and extensive walking/climbing in a manufacturing setting.
