Solution Architect

Sigmoid Analytics, Jersey City, NJ seeks Solution Architects -

• Conducts a system architecture evaluation and collaborates with project management and IT development teams to improve the architecture.
• Creates technical assets (e.g. tools, guides, reference architectures), to help scale future solutions.
• Supervises and guides development teams. Research emerging technologies and proposes changes tothe existing architecture. 
• Collaborating with product managers and other engineers to design, architect and build software on top of the SigView platform to specifications required by specific projects.
• Understand the business requirements and tie them to technology solutions while working as a lead to understand business requirements, translate them to product enhancement requirements as tasks with user-acceptance criteria. New functionality/feature scoping, meet business and technology stakeholders, understand business problem statement and create solution proposal.
• Participate in user-acceptance-testing with end-business users in order to determine the product and new enhancements fulfills its purpose before release and full-scale access & usage and present solutions and improvements to stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into solution.
• Estimate timelines and create specifications for implementation and kick off tasks for engineers. Work with business stakeholders to create acceptance
  criteria for deliverables.
• Overseeing the software testing cycle by reviewing, debugging, verifying and improving the code base of the SigView platform. Design and architecture solutions for new features as per the requirements to include working in agile methodology with team members to design, build and release multiple new feature enhancements, code optimizations and bug fixes using agile project management tools including JIRA and Asana.
• Design approval and code review for engineers by way of peer review feature design and implementation of code to ensure high quality of work. 
• Provide Technical leadership and guide developers in day to day design and coding tasks. Create testing and deployment architecture to ensure correctness.
• Create escalation framework to ensure good development process and stakeholders’ visibility. Manage overall project health and velocity and mitigate risks. 
  Conduct ongoing software development of new features on the SigView platform to include use of Spark, Java and Python to build secure, scalable and reliable ETL pipelines on AWS, GCS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Work in frontend and backend technologies including React JS, CSS for styling and Java Spring Boot to develop features following industry standard coding best practices. Use of SQL and data-warehouse data modeling concepts to design, transform and store modeled data in data-warehouse tools including Redshift, Google BigQuery and Snowflake to ensure features added are well documented in Wiki/Readme markdown document. Assisting with professional development, networking and recruiting.
• Work with learning and development teams to enable training and competency enhancement for team members to include defining KPIs and RACI for the team and oversee and improve the team’s delivery processes and working model as needed to achieve reliability and consistency in team’s output and high-quality product features and releases for the end customer. Participate in recruitment process by conducting technical and culture fitment interviews. Will travel 15% US and/or Intl’ to meet with stakeholders. May Telecommute.
• Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field and five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) experience in Job Offered or related.
