We are a family owned and operated used car dealership. We have been in business for over 13 years. We sell primarily outside finance, so we try to purchase newer, ready to go vehicles.
We are a rapidly growing dealership with a separate off-site full Automotive & Body Repair center here in Jacksonville. We are looking to grow our team by adding an experienced mechanic at one of our locations.
MUST be very dependable.
MUST HAVE own set of tools including diagnostic tools
MUST have good attitude with desire to work.
MUST have reliable transportation.
Full Time Position Mon - Sat : 9am - 6pm
Pay will be based on Experience from $25-$50 per hour for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Conduct inspections and testing of vehicle systems to identify potential issues or areas of improvement
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems
- Follow repair manuals and schematics to ensure proper repair procedures are followed
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts and systems for repair or replacement
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair processes
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic or technician
- Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools such as advanced OBD-II scanners, Digital multimeters, Oscilloscope/lab scopes, etc
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
