Final Assembly Low Voltage Technician
Rocconinc/Sign Innovation is a specialty manufacturing and sign company in the Pittsburgh area that specializes in the production of specialty metals, glass, and signage fabrication. The Final Assembly Low Voltage Technician is a position that requires fit and finish experience and general knowledge of Low Voltage electrical work.
Finishing Department is responsible for all work pertaining to the final assembly of Sign Innovation and Rocconic projects. Final assembly is defined as the work needing to be done to a product after the painting process, but before shipping or installation processes. This process (Final Assembly) can include, but not subject to, trim capping, wire and led installation, vinyl, and fit and finish. The Finishing Department responsibilities and duties are as follows:
- Populate signs with the appropriate led’s /neon/lamps and components to illuminate the sign and maintain that all signs are wired according to UL standards.
- Q.C. signs and products as they come out of paint and enter the final assembly phase.
- Assure that all products related parts including, but not subject to, hardware, patterns and touch up paint, are gathered and prepared for either crating or installation. Items to be shipped would be forwarded to shipping and receiving coordinator. Items to be installed should be staged in a designated area in an organized manner in advance of the date of installation and QC’d by the lead installer.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
- Work with the Vinyl Department to apply vinyl applications on finished products, as well as prepare paper patterns and vinyl for shipments and installs.
In summary the finishing department needs to ensure that signs are being assembled correctly and on time. The department is required to ensure all elements of the sign correct and staged for installation or shipment.
The selected candidate, for the Finishing Department position, will receive a competitive wage based on knowledge and experience. After a probation period is met, the employed person will have an opportunity to join the company’s benefit programs.
