Job Title : In-Person Foreign Language Interpreters (Spanish and other languages)

Location : St. Petersburg, Florida (open to interpreters within 1 hour commute)

About Us : SLUSA provides interpretation services in over 300 languages, catering to a variety of needs including medical appointments, immigration meetings, and educational settings. We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service, ensuring reliable and prompt interpretation for our clients.

We have a need, specifically, for Spanish Interpreters.

Job Description : We are actively seeking qualified and experienced spoken foreign language interpreters for various languages. Interpreters will be assigned to a range of assignments including medical, business, educational, and legal settings. Interpretation services are primarily consecutive, with occasional simultaneous interpretation required.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide in-person foreign language interpretation services for diverse clients across different settings.
Maintain the highest level of professionalism, ensuring timely arrival and reliable transportation.
Adhere to SLUSA's Codes of Conduct and The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) guidelines.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of interpretation assignments.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as a foreign language interpreter.

Language proficiency in both English and the target foreign language with scores of at least Level 3 (ILR scale) or Level C (CEFR scale).

Completion or ongoing completion of medical interpreter training certificates through Bridging the Gap or CCHI.

Ability to provide immunization records, agree to a national background check, and pass a 12-panel illegal drug test.

Reliable transportation.
