The Health, Safety and Supervision Assistant Coordinator, will provide leadership and support of scope and services in the content area.
Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education, education, child development, social and emotional child health, public health, family and consumer sciences, health education, health promotion, child nutrition, and/or health administration, a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Three years of management experience required.
- Five years of experience in this or related field required.
- Experience training and coaching adult learners.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Physical examination and record of negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers.
- Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required.
- Willingness to travel statewide, work some nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work from a remote home environment within the state of TN.

Under the direction of the Health, Safety and Supervision Coordinator, the Health, Safety and Supervision Assistant Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Health, Safety, and Supervision Coordinator to meet goals related to performance-based outcome standards as defined in the Health, Safety, and Supervision scope of services.
- Assist and support coaches with resources to complete referrals and agency requests including technical assistance, and training.
- Assist Health, Safety and Supervision Coordinator in ensuring that Health, Safety and Supervision Coaches are supporting each other and child care staff in a timely manner.
- Establish relationships with CCR&R partners.
- Participate in CCR&R Network Management meetings, staff and partner meetings and other meetings called by DHS or partners, which may require overnight travel.
- Cultivate an environment that models health, safety and supervision practices.
Create, support and invite innovative ideas from staff. - Maintain current information regarding trends and regulations relating to health, safety and supervision.
- Serve as facilitator for Train-the-Trainer Institutes and Supplemental Trainings as requested.
Author content for CCR&R newsletter/social media/website as requested.
Collaborate with applicable State agencies. - Achieve and maintain First Aid/CPR instructor certification provided by CCR&R.
Achieve and maintain AIMHi ™ endorsement. - Positively market the CCR&R Network to the community
