Director of Adult Day Services
The Director of Adult Day Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and overall management of the adult day program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care and services that enhance the well-being and engagement of participants.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field: Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a social services program.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in administration which includes, but is not limited to program planning, supervision of professional staff and knowledge of community resources.
Job responsibilities Includes:
Oversee the adult day program of the center.
- Responsible for the supervision of all adult day program staff to ensure that
appropriate quality program is provided to the adults. - Keep the Deputy Program Officer and Chief Program Officer informed of the status of the program and bring to their attention needs and concerns.
- Recommends changes in service levels and program areas as needed; to meet service or community needs, emerging trends, and operational demands.
- Evaluates the program, activities and materials. Monitor and Maintain
compliance with SSBG requirements and adult day care standards. - Oversee implementation of the adult day program and plan in-service training.
- Assists in recruitment and selection of adult day personnel.
- Supervise and evaluate adult day program personnel.
- Keeps informed of all legal requirements governing adult day care.
- Maintains records and reports as needed and prepares monthly program reports to Hamilton County Social Services.
- Social Services: Serve as liaison between caregivers and the staff of the center. Develop packets for participants, including all required forms and eligibility requirements.
- Make home visits to the participants and potential participants to explain the program and determine eligibility.
- Provide support, advocacy, and counseling to caregivers upon request.
- Provide resource information and referrals.
Represents the agency in the community
- Serve on the community boards/committees as directed.
- Foster and maintain strong community partnerships to support a dynamic and engaging program calendar that meets the needs of the community.
- Interprets the adult day program to the community at large.
- Cooperates with the public and private agencies, organizations and professional personnel in securing and providing services for our participants.
- Participate in training sessions.
- Maintain positive relationships with others in the community; network with other agencies; participate in community efforts.
- Coordinate intake into the adult day program; serve as initial contact for all
referrals, conduct intakes, interviews and visits, arrange assessments, complete social histories and assist applicants with requirements for admissions. Develop service plans.
