What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse: Hourly position at Signal Centers?
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion caring for children?
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Early Childhood Development Center. At our center, we enroll many children with significant conditions that are medically fragile, may need tube feeding or other specialized care.
This is a PRN position.
- Must have current license as an RN in the state of Tennessee and have 2 years’ experience in nursing, preferably with young children. Work in pediatric rehabilitation preferred.
- Must demonstrate knowledge, skills, education, and training in pediatric rehabilitation nursing.
- CPR certification
- Excellent clinical nursing and communication skills
- Willing to maintain a license as a Certified CPR Instructor
- Ability to provide staff training on topics such as First Aid/CPR, universal precautions,
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to the children at Signal Centers.
- Document and maintain health records in accordance with regulatory agencies and Signal Centers policies.
- Communicate with families and health care professionals to meet the child's needs.
- Increase knowledge skills related to pediatric rehabilitation nursing.
- Other duties as assigned.
