Position Description
The Data Analyst operates as a member of the marketing department. This position collaborates across different departments to build, deliver, and refine analytics that lead to data-driven decisions. The successful candidate will be a self starter, have strong critical thinking skills, and serve as a champion for the use and management of information and analytics.
The position is located at our Kensington, MD headquarters. The role is hybrid, with at least two days in the office per week.
Position Responsibilities
• Provide analytical reporting and analysis across several data sources with summarized observations and insights that measure company performance and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate closely across multiple departments to run exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and forecasting to support data-driven decisions within the credit union.
• Develop and update impactful visualizations, dashboards, and reporting using visualizing tools such as Power BI or Looker Studio, digesting data and representing it in an easy-to-understand way.
• Maintain awareness of current member behavior, competitor and industry trends, to make recommendations for future enhancements.
• Develop member segmentations and target lists to optimize promotions and marketing campaigns, and member life cycle
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to capture competitive insights, member sentiments, and deeper understanding of the credit union's impact.
• Forecast customer behaviors, such as churn, product preference, and engagement likelihood, providing actionable recommendations to teams.
• Serve as the data champion within the credit union, ensuring data accuracy, identifying and tackling data quality issues, and maintaining proper data management and governance in collaboration with IT department.
• Measure the impact of marketing campaigns, product success and service usage, and identify trends and insights to direct future campaigns and products
• Additional projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, Excel, MS Office, Power BI, Data Analytics/Visualization, SQL.
• 3 years of experience with business analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience with requirements gathering, exploratory data analysis, definition of metrics, data visualization, and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to identify anomalies within extensive datasets, recognize trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, with close attention to detail and in a timely manner
• Ability to collaborate with cross-department teams
• Excellent judgment and ability to analyze issues quickly and independently and to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.

Salary : $73,000 - $90,000
