Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Shifts: Night Shifts

Hours: Expected to work 2 - 8 hour shifts

Position Summary

A Signal Patrol Officer will conduct patrols, (foot and vehicle) for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
• No criminal history, and able to pass a fingerprint background check.
• A Class "C" Officer with Signal Security must have one of the following:
• At least 2 years of military experience; - or -
• At least 2 years of police experience; - or -
• At least 5 years of security experience; - or -
• At least 1 year of security experience with Signal Security – if using this experience, must have demonstrated the following:
• Consistent punctuality
• Consistent, quality report writing
• Good public relations skills
• Ability to control temper (cool under pressure)
• Works well with teammates
• Ability to resolve issues as they arise
• Not a recreational user of illegal drugs or narcotics, and able to successfully pass a drug test pre-employment as well as randomly throughout the duration of employment.
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
• Licensing by the state of Louisiana is a requirement for this job, and a previously active license is preferred.
• Driving Positions must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle is required.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Must be able to handle working with high or low volume of pedestrians, depending on assignments.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs.
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
