Concierge/Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective conflict management skills, and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in protecting property and enforcing regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct hourly foot patrol inspections of premises and personnel to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
• Provide digital reporting after each foot patrol is conducted as well as when issues occur.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities.
• Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
• Experience in military or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in conflict management with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and the public.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be personable

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
