Overnight Security Officer

Position: Overnight Dedicated Security Officer

Pay: $16 per hour

Hours: Saturday and Sunday 2PM to 10PM

Summary

As an Overnight Security Officer, you will be a vital part of our security team, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment during night hours. With core skills in security and conflict management, you will handle any potential threats or disturbances effectively.

Key Duties:

• Maintain a Visible Security Presence: Spend the majority of the shift patrolling the area on foot, providing a reassuring security presence that brings peace of mind to property owners, customers, and residents.
• Deter Criminal Activity: Actively work to deter potential criminal activities by maintaining visibility and interacting with individuals in a friendly, yet authoritative manner.
• Assist in Emergency Situations: Respond promptly to fire alarms, assist in tornado evacuations, and support any emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals on site.
• Monitor and Report Property Damage: Keep an eye out for any signs of property damage, reporting issues immediately and taking necessary steps to prevent further harm.
• Issue Ban-and-Bars: When necessary, issue ban-and-bars to individuals who violate site rules or pose a threat to safety, following proper procedures and documenting the action taken.
• Provide Assistance to Injured Individuals: Offer assistance to individuals who are injured on site, providing basic support until medical help arrives.
• Engage in De-escalation: Utilize de-escalation techniques to calm tense situations, resolve conflicts peacefully, and prevent the escalation of potential incidents.
• Deliver Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Write Detailed Reports: Document all incidents, activities, and observations throughout the shift, ensuring accurate and thorough reports are completed and submitted as required.
• Support Safety and Security Protocols: Follow and enforce all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for everyone on the property.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to maintain site-specific security orders
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check & drug test
• Must have a working and functional smartphone with data to conduct reports
• Must own personal transportation or have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Education:

• High school diploma or GED is required

Pay: $16.00 per hour
