Overview:

The Sales Support Representative provides focused sales support to the Sales Representatives in the field and is responsible for generating new customer sales leads, scheduling appointments, and creating marketing material, when needed. In addition, Sales Support Representative assists the office by answering incoming phone calls and directing calls as needed to departments or employees. When answering the phone, you will be the first point of contact for Signal Service Customers. The first impression we make is vital for ensuring our customers’ satisfaction. In addition to answering Signal Service’s phone line and directing phone calls, you will also process customer payments and perform miscellaneous office duties. Attention to detail and accuracy is extremely important.

To be successful as a Sales Support Representative, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

Sales Support

Assist Sales Representatives by:

➢ Input Lead information (name, address, contact info) into Prospect Tracking System ensuring all information is correct, and thorough

➢ Create Sales Appointments, ensuring Sales Representative has all relevant information

➢ Look up existing customer information as needed for Sales Representative

Generate Sales Leads

Generate Sales Leads by:

➢ Current subscribers: offer upgrade and new services

➢ Receives Sales Lead via phone call or email, schedule appointment for the Sales Representative

➢ Attend Lead Clubs, Chamber Mixers, Business Associations, Build Relationships with Realtors, Insurance Agents, etc.

➢ Cold calling: Competitor Accounts, Construction Sites, vacant suites/buildings

➢ Prospecting: Newspaper articles about burglaries, and new Businesses moving to the Area

➢ Building Permit Lists

➢ New Business Licenses List

Marketing:

➢ When needed, create marketing material (ie advertisements, Newletter)

➢ Continuously update the company website with marketing articles and community efforts

Incoming Phone Calls:

➢ Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate employee or department

➢ Over the phone process customers’ payments via credit card, bank card, or check.

➢ As requested, process customer’s bank card or credit card via email from bank

➢ Make changes to customer info in Accounting Software (new mailing address, cc info, etc.)

Duties:

➢ Practice effective time management for sufficient sales activity

➢ Strong phone presence and experience dialing and receiving dozens of calls per day

➢ Excellent verbal and written communications skills

➢ Strong listening and presentation skills

➢ Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

Monthly meetings:

➢ Attend monthly sales meetings as scheduled and discuss lead generating activity, current and projected sales, concerns or issues, and product line.

Working Conditions:

➢ Travel could be limited and if necessary, required, often up to several hours of driving per day.

➢ Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.

➢ Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely.

Qualifications:

➢ Valid driver’s license.

Compensation:

➢ Hourly Wage

➢ Base Salary

➢ Performance Based Commission

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
