Painter

Job Overview
We are seeking a Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on sign projects. Fabrication of signs and applying vinyl to completed jobs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Using Matthews paint system to prep, prime and paint acrylic, wood, plastic and metal.
• Apply paint using a HPLV sprayer.
• Accurately complete prep work & painting each day.
• Provide paint work quotes to other departments with the assistance of the manager.
• Operate tools such as sanders, drills, and deburring tools.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and spray booth.
• Apply films and decals to finished surfaces.
• Prepare, sand, tape, prime, paint, and decal surfaces including aluminum, acrylic, and wood.
• Check inventory levels of paint and supplies.
• Position will involve fabrication and applying vinyl to signs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Some college or trade school preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in auto body/paint.

Physical Demands & Competencies:

• Ability to stand, walk, talk, sit, use hands, and hear effectively.
• Capable of heavy work, including lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety and products related to priming and painting.

Work Environment:

• Noise level: Loud.
• Work conditions: Indoors and outdoors.
• Potential exposure to paint fumes and dust.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
