Job Description:
As a Furniture Delivery Driver with our pickup truck and trailer crew, you'll be responsible for safely transporting furniture to our customers' homes and ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Working alongside a partner, you'll deliver and set up furniture in our customers' residences, providing exceptional service and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, interact with customers, and be part of a supportive team committed to delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a pickup truck and trailer to transport furniture to customers' homes.
- Deliver furniture to customers' residences in a timely and professional manner.
- Set up furniture according to customers' preferences, ensuring proper placement and assembly.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Inspect furniture for damages or defects before delivery and report any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving a pickup truck and towing a trailer.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture items safely.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required.
Location: Lafayette, IN
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Range: $16 to $20 per hour, average $17.50 per hour
