JOB TITLE : Client Service Associate

REPORTS TO : Lead Advisor
LOCATION : Cleveland, OH- Hybrid
EFFECTIVE DATE : 1 / 14 / 2025
SUMMARY : The Client Service Associate plays a key role in providing exceptional service to retirement plan sponsors and their employees. Collaborating closely with the Financial Advisor, this role focuses on fostering client satisfaction by proactively addressing and resolving client issues. The Associate is expected to develop a thorough understanding of retirement plans, supporting clients in effectively managing their plans. Additionally, the Associate will create and distribute educational materials to enhance employees’ financial literacy.
While experience with retirement plans or financial services is a plus, a willingness to learn and a commitment to adding value to client relationships is more important.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Safeguard confidential data by ensuring its proper handling, secure transmission, and prevention of unauthorized access or disclosure.
- Provide consistently high levels of proactive, professional client service.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and client service personnel to deliver effective solutions.
- Address client inquiries and issues through research, problem-solving, and effective follow-up, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service levels.
- Manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Support clients in completing administrative tasks by monitoring the progress of periodic plan activities such as compliance testing, 5500 filing, annual notices, and RMDs.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and employee education events, summarize meeting notes, and handle follow-up tasks.
- Assist with applications and forms, obtain necessary signatures, submit paperwork, and monitor the status of submissions to resolve outstanding issues.
- Continuously expand knowledge of retirement plan rules and savings / investing fundamentals.
- Meet individual and team goals for service levels, client retention, and growth within the assigned book of business.
- Perform additional essential tasks as assigned.
