What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Lending Manager position at Signature Federal Credit Union?
To efficiently manage all of the departments within the Consumer Lending Department to maximize income,
minimize expenses and to minimize the inherent risks associated with lending. To create and adhere to an annual
budget for the department. To promote, maintain and support a sales culture that focuses on fulfilling the
members’ needs while meeting Credit Union goals and objectives. To efficiently manage and motivate
employees to ensure accuracy and enhanced performance. To comply with all federal, state, local laws and
regulations. To comply with Credit Union policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Promotes a sales/service culture that incents employees to focus on fulfilling the members’ needs, while meeting the objectives dictated by asset/liability management and controlling the inherent risks associated with lending within a set timeline. Manage loan pipelines.
- Efficiently manages the department and the employees to attain Credit Union objectives and goals and to ensure compliance with all regulations, procedures and policies.
- Create and adhere to an annual budget which includes loan balance, income, and expense projections
- Develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancement s to products, pricing, and processes by monitoring trends in operations.
- Ensure quality service is being provided by the employees to all members.
- Monitor employees that are working remotely to ensure they are representing themselves in a professional manner and are processing loans and other requests efficiently and accurately by evaluating phone reports, periodic call screening, and reviewing application queues & reports.
- Works with other departments as necessary to achieve success or minimize risks.
Qualifications
- Two to five years of similar experience. Management is a plus.
- A college degree or equivalent experience.
- The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
- Must have analytical/judgmental skills.
- Must possess sales/service skills
- Must have working knowledge of regulations affecting consumer loans, collections, and credit cards.
- Must have working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software; be able to use PC and general office equipment including 1u2014key calculator.
Salary : $89,681 - $134,521
