Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing documentation for compliance.
- Process requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
- Implement and maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient data management.
- Train staff on proper procedures for handling medical records and maintaining confidentiality.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations related to medical records management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology, with a strong understanding of medical office operations.
- Experience working with medical records systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
