Full-Time Office Coordinator
Office location: Federal Way
Compensation: Hourly $23-$25
Type: Full Time
Shift: Day Shift
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We are looking for an office coordinator to join our Federal Way team. The office coordinator acts as a generalist in all office duties including, but not limited to, aspects of scheduling, administrative assistant, medical records and intake. This role is responsible for a general knowledge and ability to perform tasks in each role as needed by the agency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes scheduled workflow assigning appropriate team members to planned frequency of visits
- Assist agency personnel in the care coordination of patient/client services
- Assigns and uploads all incoming faxes to the correct department/location/chart
- Answers incoming calls and places outbound calls as needed by agency
- Directs all daily patient/client referral and intake operations.
- Assists in identifying opportunities for additional/improved services and methods
- Actively participates in department meetings, in-service, QAPI activities, and other related activities as appropriate
- Supports the maintenance of all patient/ client records. Records administration is the initial point of entry for all patient/ client related documentation, including physician’s orders.
- Responds to external requests for information by accumulating the requested information and forwarding it to the Business Office Manager. Supports maintenance of the log used to track information requested, information copied, date copied and forwarded for approval, name of person approving for mailing, and date mailed.
- Adheres to HIPAA regulations per company policy and federal regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in administrative position in healthcare setting preferred
- Establishes productive organizational skills and habits.
- Provides excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrates good communications, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
- Promote and demonstrate company core values and mission.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of office technology
