Our client, a leading Am 100 law firm, is currently seeking a Manager, Network Engineering to join their dynamic team. This key role will involve leading the firm's network infrastructure strategy, design, and operations globally. The successful candidate will manage advanced networking technologies such as Wi-Fi, BGP, global WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity solutions in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust, secure, and high-performing network services across multiple geographic locations and requires deep technical expertise in routing protocols, traffic prioritization (QoS), and cloud connectivity.
Responsibilities:
Network Design & Management: Oversee global WAN operations to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. Lead the deployment and optimization of SD-WAN solutions. Manage the implementation and maintenance of complex networking systems using advanced routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
Cloud Networking: Design and manage connectivity between on-premises networks and public cloud environments. Establish and maintain networking in cloud platforms, ensuring efficient integration with enterprise infrastructure.
Traffic Management: Implement and refine QoS policies to prioritize critical application performance. Monitor and address network performance issues like latency and bandwidth utilization.
Team Leadership: Lead a distributed team of network engineers, fostering teamwork and accountability. Manage resources and assignments to align with organizational goals. Mentor team members and facilitate their professional growth.
Strategic Planning: Develop a strategic roadmap for network engineering that aligns with business objectives. Assess and integrate emerging network technologies to enhance system capabilities.
Operational Excellence: Maintain network uptime and security, adhering to industry standards and compliance requirements. Establish robust monitoring and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT leadership and external vendors to align network strategies with business needs. Handle complex network issues and act as an escalation point during outages.
Project Management: Manage network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of network engineering experience, with 4-6 years in a managerial role.
- Extensive experience with advanced routing protocols, Wi-Fi optimization, and managing global WAN and SD-WAN deployments.
- Proven track record in setting up and managing cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience managing network teams across multiple locations and strong leadership skills.
