What the Job Looks Like

• 8-10 hours per day outdoors in most weather
• Hybrid role as an irrigation technician and landscape crew member on residential design/build projects
• Installing, repairing and upgrading irrigation systems during the course of a project
• Troubleshooting irrigation system issues
• Programming and upgrading irrigation systems with smart features
• Installation of trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Installation of patios and outdoor living spaces
• Jobsite clean-up (leave it better than you found it)
• Carrying 50 lb stone/block/rock across a job site
• Operating a skid loader and other types of machinery.
• One to four weeks at the same job site doing large landscape design/build installations.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience installing, repairing and troubleshooting irrigation equipment
• Clean driving record
• Good self starter with the ability to work independently or with a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• Ability to pass a background check

Pay rate is $20 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

• Experience with farming or agriculture
• Experience with carpentry, framing, or woodworking
• Experience with concrete or masonry
• Experience with installation or troubleshooting of irrigation equipment
• Experience with installation or troubleshooting of outdoor (low voltage) lighting
• Experience with installation of patios, decks or other outdoor living spaces
• Experience with repairing landscape drainage or other landscape related issues
• Experience with measuring and applying landscape chemicals
• Experience with installation and clean up of plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, etc.
• Experience with outdoor power equipment (chop saws, trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.)
• Experience driving trucks up to one ton, with or without pulling a trailer
• Experience supervising crews of 2-6 technicians
