The Associate Product Line Manager is responsible for assisting the PLM in developing the seasonal line plan and product stories for the season. This person will lead all the systems’ work (Centric, Asana) and ensure timelines are being adhered to. They assist in the creation of product briefs and conducting of market research.
Primary Responsibilities:
Consumer Insights, market knowledge, and analysis
- Assist in consumer insights directives to ensure alignment with targeted consumers.
- Compile data from qualitative and quantitative sources. o Monitor and compile reviews, POS, and adoption rates to identify opportunities or shortcomings.
- Dedicated time doing market walks, inspo trips, and understanding current consumer and retailer habits.
Product Line Planning
- Maintain understanding of brand stories and direction, market trends, competitors, and how we compare to internal KPI's.
- Assist in building product line initiatives for current season to deliver upon key market and financial goals.
- Assist in the creation of key seasonal stories and champion the "Why" from ideation to sell through.
Organization and tracking
- Track and communicate seasonal progress of all projects within the IDP process.
- Effectively communicates conflicting priorities and challenges in timeline adherence and collaborates on solutions to fit the needs of all stakeholders.
- Owns the creation and maintenance of PLM database and physical assets as required within category.
Skills / Capabilities:
- Proven experience bringing physical product within a product line to market.
- Working knowledge of the product development process, retail environment, and consumer buying experience.
- Trend awareness and ability to verbalize what is perceived or thought.
- Computer proficiency with MS office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Self-starter and creative problem solver that enjoys open-ended projects.
- Excellent collaboration skills and an ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines.
- High degree of agility and adaptability
