**IMMEDIATE HIRE**
We are seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer in Dover, DE.
Candidates must have proven experience as a Safety Manager and extensive knowledge of safety.
Candidates must have experience working on US Army Corps of Engineers projects.
Candidates must have ground up, new construction experience, as an SSHO (or similar) for entire projects.
Candidates must have an EM 385 certification, OSHA 30, and must reside within a commutable distance to Dover, DE.
OSHA 510 a plus!
Any BCSP certification a plus!
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures
- Completing necessary paperwork and conducting audits
