Job Summary
We are seeking a Product & Application Engineer with 2 years of experience in the solar industry to support product development & application engineering. This role bridges the gap between engineering & product management, ensuring that our solar energy products are up-to-date to the market needs. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong product knowledge, hands-on experience in solar energy systems, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development (40%)
- Work with PLM, Engineering and R&D teams to develop, test, and validate new solar products (inverters, battery storage, ESS and misc.).
- Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis to evaluate product strengths and areas for improvement.
- Present the product competitive analysis to the internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Gather customer feedback and field data to improve product designs and performance, in defining the next-generation solar solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging solar technologies, and competitive products.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost reduction in existing products.
Application Engineering (30%)
- Provide application assistance to EPCs, installers, distributors, and premium customers.
- Assist customers in selecting and integrating solar products based on system requirements.
- Offer system-level troubleshooting for PV installations, hybrid systems, and energy storage applications.
- Respond to technical inquiries, develop FAQs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Engineering Support (30%)
- Support the engineering teams in writing/validating the spec sheets, user manuals and white papers.
- Support the certification and compliance testing of solar products (UL, IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Provide technical expertise for resolving product issues reported from field installations, EPCs, and end-users.
- Support failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective actions for product failures.
