Public Relations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager to lead our marketing communications in shaping and managing our organization’s public image. In this role, you will oversee media relations, develop and implement PR strategies, and ensure all external communications align with the company's values and objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of public relations strategies, crisis communication, media outreach, and social media management.

A successful candidate must be able to:

• Create and implement strategic publicity campaigns to promote the company’s products, services, and events. This includes crisis management strategies and responses to potential issues impacting public opinion.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage and enhance brand visibility.
• Write, edit, and distribute press releases and other communications materials to announce key company news, product launches, and important corporate developments.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address and mitigate potential public relations issues proactively.
• Organize and manage press conferences, interviews, promotional events, and media tours to promote key company messages.
• Track media coverage to analyze public sentiment and draft responses to protect or enhance the company’s image.
• Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all external communications.
• Partner with the social media team to ensure effective use of platforms for promoting company news, engaging with audiences, and building a positive brand presence.
• Oversee the PR budget, develop timelines, and manage resources for various PR campaigns and initiatives.
• Prepare comprehensive media kits with company information, ensuring easy access for media outlets and influencers.
• Use analytics and market research to evaluate the success of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed for optimal impact.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging press releases, statements, and external communication materials.
• In-depth knowledge of crisis communication techniques to manage sensitive or challenging situations.
• Strong verbal communication skills for working with media, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Comfortable and confident in representing the company in interviews, press conferences, and public speaking engagements.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public relations, with a proven track record of successfully managing media relations, campaigns, and crises.
• Proven experience in building relationships with key media contacts and securing positive coverage.
• Experience in using social media platforms to enhance public relations efforts, monitor public perception, and engage with audiences.
