What are the responsibilities and job description for the Implementations Specialist position at Signature Systems Inc?
The POS Implementations Specialist will coordinate the implementation of our Point-of-Sale systems, as well as troubleshoot problems with hardware/software and related devices and systems. An Implementations Specialist should demonstrate sound technical knowledge as well as exceptional analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implements Point-of-Sale (POS) systems at a variety of customer locations nationwide
- Explains and demonstrates system functions and operations to end users
- Works closely with sales, vendors, engineers, and other personnel to gather appropriate information needed to complete each implementation
- Assumes all communication with customers from first post-sale meeting to completion. Meet with clients following the sale to collect data and other required information to customize software system, check on status of the project throughout, set proper customer expectations, and obtain feedback and approvals.
- Recommends and consults with customers on configuration based on their business needs and pain points
- Relays all customer wants/needs to engineering and assist in creating project timelines. Relay information back to the customer ensuring all parties are on the same page
- Reviews accuracy of deliverables and provide customers with full education and understanding of features and capabilities
- Installs customized software systems and all necessary components
- Ensures that the project team is aware of key deliverables and project milestones
- Provides cost and time estimates to clients who require additional customizations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience working as an Implementations Specialist or similar position
- Sound technical knowledge with the ability to quickly learn new software
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and SQL database management systems.
- The ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written, skills with people at all levels
- Ability to translate customer wants/needs to engineering team and vice versa
- Ability to think outside the box and creatively solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently or in a team to solve them
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening, including driving record
- Must be willing to work flexible hours/shifts Must be willing to travel regularly position is roughly 40% travel
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar, OR
- At least two years of relevant experience as an Implementations Specialist or similar
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
