Signet Real Estate Group is seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of student and residential properties. This role combines leasing responsibilities with property management duties, providing an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Leasing and Resident Relations:
- Market and advertise available units through online platforms, social media, and print materials.
- Conduct property tours, respond to inquiries, and assist with leasing to prospective residents.
- Manage lease administration, including applications, approvals, and renewals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction and retention rates.
Operations Support:
- Assist the Property Manager with daily operations, including overseeing property maintenance and inspections.
- Track and manage rent collection, late payments, and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely resolution of work orders and repairs.
- Monitor curb appeal and property appearance, ensuring standards are met at all times.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of leases, contracts, and resident communications.
- Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws.
- Support move-in and move-out processes, including unit inspections and turnover scheduling.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- 2 years of experience in property management, leasing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A customer service mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of student housing operations is a plus.
