More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Lead Development Electronics Engineer - LiFi Communication onsite in Burlington, MA, with Signify.
LiFi (Light Fidelity) is a new emerging state of the art optical wireless communication technology and one of the new growth engines for Signify. Signify Trulifiprovides fast two-way communication that's reliable, secure and has a low latency. It offers multigigabit connections that can guarantee transmission of heavy data loads. Using light to communicate, it's ideal in places where RF is not permitted or doesn't work.
What you'll doAs part of the R&D team, you'll be responsible for the electrical design of new LiFi solutions and participate in the entire product development process from concept to product release in the market.
Develop, test and document (opto-) electroniccommunicationsystems, subsystems (e.g. optical transceivers), printed circuit boards and modules as part of new product development projects and proof of concepts according to requirements and specifications.
Translate research outputs into practical and efficient solutions.
Collaborate with cross functional project teams (system architect, mechanical engineer, optical engineer, thermal engineer, design team and validation team) in Burlington, MA, and the Netherlands to ensure requirements are met regarding cost, performance, safety and compliance.
Update and maintain development reports and generate innovative ideas.
Write or contribute to technical Invention disclosures applicable to LiFi.

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunication, or related
5 years of electrical engineering and product development work experience (optical-wirelesscommunication, telecommunication, and/or optics experience highly preferred)
Hands-on experience in electronics design (power, analogue, digital functions, EMC, signal integrity) of electronic products; experience in industrialization and life cycle administration is a plus
Experience with CAD software for schematic entry/PCB layout (e.g.MentorXpedition or similar) and simulation instruments for electronic circuits (e.g. LT Spice or similar)

Salary:$141,300 - 200,000
Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 15%
