The Company :
The organization are a Genome Engineering business with an established name in the sector. As an engineering driven company who emphasize best practices, they have been implementing AI specifically Deep learning and LLM's into their data science group as a core focus.
The Role :
They are looking for a Director of Data Science to lead and develop a small but growing team with active headcount. You will report directly to the CTO and involved in all strategic decisions from day one. You will have the opportunity to lead a range of existing and brand new topics such as : Genomics, MultiOmics, LLMs, protein modeling, deep learning for imaging datasets.
What you should bring :
- PHD or MS in Biotechnology, AI or Computer Science
- Extensive industry experience in the Biotechnolgoy sector with proved track record at Manger or Director level
- Managed teams of 5 people
- Technical proficiency in Python for data science and Engineering best practices
- Hands on experience in Machine learning, building models from the ground up
- Domain knowledge covering some (not all) of the following : MultiOmics, Genomics, Genetics, Proteomics, Gene therapy, image analysis, Deep Learning, LLM's.
