Job Summary
This position involves performing troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems. It requires analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment as well as assisting with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production.
- Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance work.
- Conducting preventive maintenance schedules.
- Dealing with incoming work requests.
- Communicating existing and potential issues with group leaders and/or maintenance managers.
- Abiding by different safety measures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
- Experience: Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
- Skills: Ability to read blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics; ability to use appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance; good working knowledge of mechanics and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Specialized Knowledge: Good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.; experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Personal Qualities: Organization and housekeeping skills; good communication skills throughout all levels of the organization; willingness to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
