Summary :
The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees. They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality. They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards policies regulations for the safe environmentally sound production of a quality product.
Essential Functions :
- Working closely with plant staff to provide a safe working environment.
- Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
- Performing daytoday operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety quality delivery and cost.
- Running production lines and machines when employees are absent or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
- Assuring conformance of finished product to company industry and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
- Directing teaching coaching and training of production employees.
- Being responsible to maintain shop floor metrics visual controls and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
- Supervision of production associates including performance reviews onboarding discipline and terminations.
- Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
- Ability to function in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Possessing strong leadership skills with a desire to move up in the organization.
- Having indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
- Ability to effectively implement change.
- Possessing knowledge of safety health and environmental rules laws requirements and applicable Signode policies.
- Demonstrating problemsolving skills.
- Effective abilities in leadership interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
- Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations / procedures.
Qualifications : Education :
High School diploma or GED with accredited BS degree preferred.
