Salary :
Starting base salary at $105000 Commission negotiable with experience.
Summary :
The Distributor Sales Consultant is responsible for providing the highest level of sales and service in their defined territory. They leverage Signodes highperformance packaging systems including consumables machines tools and services used in a broad range of packaging applications. This position is based on the South Central Region. Account size will range from $1216 million in sales volume.
Essential Functions :
- Sell through a consultative and solutionsdriven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to our customers.
- Meet or exceed sales goals by gaining new distributors and increasing shelf space with current customers utilizing all Signode products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of Signode products and applications to sell solutions that meet the customers needs.
- Negotiate volume contracts and pricing agreements with principles and executives at key distribution accounts.
- Develop document and present the value of One Signode to our distribution network.
- Collaborate with other team members on account management projects or department initiatives.
- Work closely with Signodes Customer Service Inside Sales and Regional Sales Management Teams.
- Develop leads which mutually benefit Signode and our distribution partners.
- Coordinate sales activity from quote to sale close.
- Develop relationships with sales representatives in the field to provide pullthrough sales.
- Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency and allows the proper balance of sales calls on existing accounts target accounts new accounts and business development prospects.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that represents the Signode Values.
- Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing distributor needs market opportunities and competitive area information.
- Document and present the Signode Value Proposition in the form of contribution to profit reports.
- Ability to train distributor representatives on application and product knowledge.
- Participate in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve upgrade performance experience career development and advancement.
- Assist the A / R department collecting past due balances and ensure your accounts are in good standing.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience :
35 years outside consultative sales experience packaging sales experience preferred.
Distribution sales experience required.
