We are a growing custom sign, display and sign service company in Traverse City looking for an outside sales representative to join our talented Signplicity team! All of our signs are custom making every job new and exciting!

Schedule: During normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm. Signplicity is closed on all major holidays. For large projects or busy times, additional hours may be requested.

Pay & Benefits: Position is commission based ons ales generated and includes a base salary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience working on a project team in a construction/project management setting.
  • Understanding of design / build project lifecycle.
  • Good judgment and willingness to address sub-par deliverables in a firm, but positive manner to improve quality.
  • Enjoys sales, working with people, is well-organized, and can prioritize to meet deadlines across evolving timelines.
  • Addresses challenges with strong problem-solving skills, yet comfortable asking for help/assistance when needed.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment and manages multiple tasks with exceptional attention-to-detail and positive energy.
  • Comfortable engaging in collaborative discussions and debates.
  • Knowledge in Adobe design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) a plus and preferred, but not required. Your success as a sales representative in the signage industry will be greatly enhanced if you are occasionally able to produce your own drawings and communicate/imagine the customer’s needs/desires into illustrative form. Our designers do the bulk of the work on a project, but this skillset along with the ability to understand the basic build/fabrication process of any structure will add to your success.
  • Knowledge of wide format printing, color management and sign production a plus, but not required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position plays a vital role in the sales team, developing leads into relationship and sign projects for the company to produce.

  • This role will report to both the Owner and Director of Business Development and will be the point of contact with prospective customers.
  • Prepare estimates and implement work orders.
  • Enjoy being involved in daily team meetings and be intimately involved in the success of the business.
  • Work with customers in numerous ways such as email, telephone, and in-person.
  • Build long-lasting relationships by turning prospects into long term clients.
  • Work with multiple outside vendors, general contractors, and purchasing contractors.
  • Travel to visit with customers to maintain and create new relationships.
  • Assist with the acquisition of permits and follow up inspections.
  • Assist with the procurement of materials and services to carryout construction and projects.
  • Staying organized and knowing priority levels at all times of your jobs.
  • Works with co-workers with proofs and edits.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
