JOB TITLE: Court and Victim Services Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Programs FLSA: FT Non-Exempt
Effective: March 20th, 2025
Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight of provision of advocacy, including court accompaniment, hospital accompaniment, and coordination and integration of Signs of HOPE services for clients and families. This includes offering support during court proceedings and long-term advocacy assistance to victims of sexual assault and abuse and their families. In addition to providing direct assistance to families, the position will oversee the coordination of intake, client services and advocacy. The position supports victims that Signs of HOPE may have served through crisis response services, as well as victims identified and referred through the Clark County Victim Witness Assistance Center (VWAC) and the District Attorney’s Office Special Victims’ Unit (DA-SUV).
May also serve as the lead on various agency-wide and inter-departmental initiatives and projects, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Regular communication with SOH staff, victims, and family members for intake, review of services available, update on case progress, changes in status, and answering questions regarding process of cases in court.
· Maintain regular communication with the VWAC staff advocates and the DAs regarding case briefings and coverage of court calendar.
· Develop and maintain existing knowledge of community resources and programs for client referral purposes.
· Collect and track data on services provided, client demographics, and other information for grant reporting in the Collaborate data management system.
· As needed, will assist with coverage in other court settings, such as Family Court.
· Assist with the overall crisis response to victims of sexual assault via the hotline, in court, and at the hospital.
· Serve as a liaison with systems-based partners and maintain regular communication with SANE nurses, law enforcement, and other key partners and agencies.
· Assists clients with VOCP (and SAVA) applications and the state’s Confidential Address Program (CAP).
· As needed, will represent SOH in larger local and state committees and taskforces to increase the partnership-base of SOH.
· Collect and track necessary data on services provided using Collaborate, client demographics, and other information for grant reporting.

This position does not have any direct reports.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in human services, social work, criminal justice or related field, or a minimum of four years of related work experience is required.
At least two years’ experience in victim services and/or legal field preferred or equivalent education and experience. Ability to communicate fluently in English required. In addition, the ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
$23.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
