What are the responsibilities and job description for the RISE Bilingual Training Specialist position at Signs of Hope?
This position is responsible for providing coordination of Spanish training programs and community outreach on awareness and intervention training education and campaigns related to human trafficking. This includes education of the public as well as targeted partnerships and training of specific community professionals, including partner organizations, medical providers, housing providers, transportation organizations, hospitality professionals, and first responders both private and public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Coordination, scheduling, and communication with community partners and professional groups to set-up training presentations and provide applicable coverage for news or media interview requests
- Assist with training curriculum creation, preparation, revision, etc
- Responsible for all translations of materials, trainings, forms, etc
- Communicate with other SOH staff as necessary for follow-up and optimal service to community partners
- Complete all necessary records and data of services provided timely for grant reports
- This position may require after-hours and weekend duties such as RISE hotline coverage, outreach opportunities, and trainings
- May provide assistance and coverage of any other training requests needed by RISE Outreach Director or Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Task Force
- Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must maintain and have available reliable transportation. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Successful candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in public health, education, human services, social work, criminal justice, or related field required or years of direct related experience or a combination of both. Those selected for the position will have to complete a 50-hour advocate training and participate in continuing education activities a minimum of 3 times per year. Knowledge and experience with professional training programs, human trafficking, and/or related areas strongly preferred. Fluency in Spanish is required with an accompanying certification or accreditation in Spanish proficiency.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit; reach with hands/arms and talk/hear. Must be able to lift/move items of 10 pounds regularly, up to 20 pounds occasionally, and over 20 pounds rarely.
