Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Physicist (Systems Engineer) at Sigray, Inc. The Physicist will be responsible for commissioning complex x-ray equipment and supporting the development of advanced technologies in the field. The role will involve hands-on work with cutting-edge x-ray source, optics, and detector technologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure highly complex systems meet acceptance criteria
- Work with applications engineers/scientists to set up XRM experiments
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelors (or preferably Masters or PhD) in Physics or Materials Science
- Hands-on familiarity with and characterization of equipment, including detectors
- Knowledge of scripting is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in synchrotron technologies is a plus
Salary commensurate with experience
Salary : $90,000 - $160,000
