Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Sigray, Inc. in Concord, CA. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing complex mechanical systems, such as high resolution x-ray microscopes and high throughput semiconductor equipment. This role is reserved for a highly experienced engineer who has worked on complex equipment (e.g., 1000 parts or more assemblies from scratch).
Qualifications
- Comfortable with prototype design from a blank canvas
- 5 years' Experience building complex mechanical assemblies, such as semiconductor equipment or a synchrotron beamlines
- Experience with Solidworks
- Ability to interact with physicist collaborators to define requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
