Position Summary :
Serving as the SIG SAUER Academy liaison for hosted events and all shooting matches / competitions, the Competition Program Specialist will oversee the planning of such events from stage development to execution. Competition Program Specialist will communicate with the Trade Show & Events team and SSA Marketing staff to help identify event objectives, develop stages of fire for all events, and direct the set up and scoring of all events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan and coordinate all SSA hosted events, shooting matches, and competitions by acting as the liaison between SSA and the SIG business group or entity looking to host an event on campus
- Manage multiple event requests and coordinate range availability with the Operations team
- Plan course of fire for each event and coordinate with SSA armorers once product needs and round counts are identified
- Interface with the Marketing team to inform them of upcoming events and potential opportunities
- Recruit event volunteers and communicate SSA protocols and event expectations ahead of the event
- Compiles pre-event / match details and distributes to the necessary SSA staff / groups
- Train all event staff and volunteers on Practiscore scoring system and oversee the scoring for the duration of the event
- Maintain Practiscore competitor database which includes determining eligibility for prospective competitors, monitoring for withdraw requests, and adding competitors to the appropriate / requested squad
- Prepare and organize after action reports / event summaries outlining overall attendance, areas in need of improvement, and anything else of note and distribute to all applicable SSA staff and SIG business groups
- Monitor the SSA competitions email inbox and responding in a timely manner.
