Position Summary :
The Mechanical / Dimensional Inspector II is responsible the performance of moderately complex mechanical inspections per the technical documentation provided using -re-trained and determined methods to determine product acceptability. Working with increased independence and in a team environment, they will consult with internal team members and consult with other disciplines to resolve issues as they arise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Verify inspection data with double gaging to ensure component integrity and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection. When required, assist the MRB team in identification of dimensional issues.
- Run moderately complex setups and inspection programs. Diagnose and resolve issues that may arise in reported output and calibration. This includes basic programming, verifying downloads, and communicating results.
- Interprets dimensional tolerances and applies them to components of enhance complexity. Able to identify external specification referenced in technical documentation and apply to the inspection process.
- Participate in problem-solving teams for driving to root cause of internal and external quality failures, particularly related to the prevention of customer escapes.
- Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities, including requests for maintenance assistance when needed.
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
- May be required to work in other functional areas and / or facilities depending on business needs.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
