Position Summary :
Packages materials and products manually by performing the work / packaging instructions specified for each product or part. Visually verifies that parts and or finished products are in compliance with SIG SAUER’s quality standards.
FLSA : Non-Exempt
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Regular on-site attendance / punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
- Efficiently / effectively gather packing materials that are correct to the bill of materials, verify serial numbers, complete necessary paperwork, and operate barcode scanners.
- Wraps protective material around product as required.
- Pack and process finished materials and move them to appropriate staging areas within the warehouse.
- Update the company operating system to perform movement of material, and any other functions required to perform job duties.
- Visually inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
- Records information such as Serial Number, weight, time, and date packaged.
- Communicates any issues with the Packing Lead, and / or Supervisor in order to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
- Seek and act upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance quality and productivity.
- Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
- May be required to work in other functional areas and / or facilities depending on business needs.
- May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Participate in all required activities, and other duties as assigned.
